Welcome to the annual exhibition organized by the Faroese Society of Visual Arts at the National Gallery of the Faroe Islands. The Society of Visual Arts supports professional visual artists in the Faroe Islands, working to promote their interests and to provide Faroese visual art with opportunities to evolve. As part of this endeavour, since 1990 the Society has organised an exhibition every year. The Society of Visual Arts selects a committee to organise the exhibition, which is censored. In this context, that means that everyone has the opportunity to submit works for judging.

In the committee for the exhibition in 2022 are Bruno Mikael Eysturstein, Ole Wich, Tummas Jákup Thomsen and Ólavur Trónd Thorsteinsson.

The title for this year’s exhibition is »Flåffy United«, as the committee seeks out towards boundaries and grey areas. Out where art’s basic conditions are tested, and where new techniques and expressions are explored.
