Cookie Policy
What is a cookie?
Today, cookies are used by virtually all websites. In many cases, the use of cookies is necessary in order to provide relevant services on the website.
A cookie is a small text file stored on the user’s IT equipment (PC, tablet, smartphone, etc.) so that the device can be recognised. Cookies can, among other things, be used to compile statistics about how users use the website and to help optimise content on the page. A cookie is a passive file, which means that it cannot collect information from the user’s computer or spread computer viruses or other malware. Some cookies are placed by other parties (so-called third parties) than the one shown in the address bar (URL) of the browser. They may simply be ordinary content, but may also be e.g. analysis tools or embedded comment fields. This means that cookies are stored by parties other than the owner of the website.
Some cookies are only stored on the user’s IT equipment as long as the user has their browser open (session cookies). Other cookies are stored for a prolonged period (persistent cookies). When the user re-visits a website, session cookies will be stored anew while persistent cookies are typically refreshed.
