Faroese artists have a strong tradition of painting abstract, expressive landscapes, and several of these grand artworks can be experienced in this exhibition. On the balcony there are colourful landscape paintings and close-ups of nature. In the large room you can experience works in which nature has been rendered in dark colours, vast planes and strong hues. At the far back the internal landscape is interpreted in artworks based on the human body. The naked body, cross-sections of vessels, X-rays and references to blood and skin awaken the senses and wonder. The themes landscape, abstraction and the body can also be experienced in the permanent exhibition.
