On July 28, the annual St. Olaf's Exhibition opens at the National Gallery of the Faroe Islands.
The Faroe Islands Art Association organized the first St. Olaf's Exhibition in 1948, and since then it has become an important part of the annual national party.
Every year there is a different curator. This year, the art association has invited the artist Annika á Lofti to arrange the exhibition. Annika á Lofti has asked everyone interested to submit artworks for the exhibition. Based on these, she will make a selection which will be exhibited at Ólavsøkuframsýningin 2020.
Annika á Lofti expects a vibrant and versatile exhibition where both established and well-known artists exhibit side by side with newcomers. All the works are for sale.
The exhibition is open until Sunday 16 August.
We look forward to welcoming excited St. Olaf's guests at the National Gallery of the Faroe Islands.
