The oldest Works in the National Gallery
The art collection of Listasavn Føroya comprises works from the 1830s to the present day. In this section we have compiled a small selection of the oldest works. You can see drawings of doves in highly imaginative colours and landscape paintings featuring old village houses and bridges. What do old houses look like where you come from? Is there also a tradition of covering their roofs with turf?
