Visitor record!
In 2021, there were an impressive 35 % more visitors than in 2020, which was also a well-attended year. As many as 17,065 people visited the museum during 2021.
The increase in visitor numbers is particularly due to this year’s many Faroese visitors. Both in 2020 and 2021, due to the corona situation, there were substantially fewer foreign visitors. This year, there were 90% more Faroese visitors than in 2019.
We are delighted about all the visits we have had and look forward to reopening on 1 February with an exciting new programme of special exhibitions and events. We constantly do our best to develop our offerings and to create great art experiences for everyone.
We would like to thank you all and look forward to welcoming you in 2022!
