We will grant anyone who submits a photo free admission to the museum and the opportunity to see our major special exhibition, ''The Sea''.

Throughout the Faroe Islands, in both private homes and institutions, there are countless artworks portraying ships and boats.

In many cases, they are unique pictures that the general public will never have seen before. Sometimes the owner of a painting can tell a fascinating story about it or has a special connection to its subject.

The Faroe Islands National Gallery wants to draw attention to these works by exhibiting photos of them in the foyer of the museum.

1.      Take a photo of the work.

2.       Maybe you know the name of the boat or ship. Maybe you know who have an interesting story about the work or know who the artist is. Feel free to write down those details.

3.      Email the museum at info@art.fo

Everyone is welcome to view the photos submitted
